What kind of Tattoo style do you offer?

I prioritize American Traditional and Realism requests. I also do cover-ups and re-works. Flexible with other design preferences, please go into detail when submitting this form and have visual references ready when your email is responded to.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Try to stay well hydrated leading up to your appointment. I highly recommend avoiding any alcohol consumption the day prior. Being well rested and nourished by eating well the night before and the morning of your appointment will help you sit longer and process the pain better. Feel free to bring any snacks/non-alcoholic beverages to your appointment.

What are your rates?

Pricing is based on the size of the design and placement on the body.

Designs tattooed on the neck, stomach, ears, palm, knees, elbows, and crook of limbs tend to be more difficult and need extra care.

ꕤ $150 Minimum

ꕤ Palm-size designs (3x3 inches) gravitate around $250

ꕤ Hand-size designs gravitate around $400

ꕤ Designs that stretch from the elbow to the wrist, or knee to the ankle (9-10 inches) will be a minimum of $550

If you have a budget, please inform me during the initial request. We can simulate a “payment plan” by doing 2 tattoo sessions instead of one (1 month a part). Some designs may be shrunk down within reason, although I will be more opt to design an American Traditional styled request bigger while maintaining the original quote in order to have the tattoo stand the test of time.

What type of payment do you take?

Cash on the appointment day is preferred, since it does not require us to pay card fees. If necessary we also accept cards and Apple Pay.

What is your Deposit Policy?

Appointments require a $50 minimum non-refundable deposit. $100 for more intricate projects that require multiple sessions to complete. This goes towards the total price of the tattoo.

Rescheduling requires a 3 day notice, failure to do so may result in another deposit to reschedule. No-call no-shows will forfeit their design and deposit.

I carefully schedule my appointments to not substantially overlap each other, if you are late for your appointment please notify me via Instagram @ ivytontattoo so that I can make sure your appointment doesn’t take away from another person’s time slot/schedule.

What are your thoughts on numbing cream?

I think numbing cream is a great resource, I am not against the use of it for our appointment but use it at your own risk.

If you have never used numbing cream before, there are a lot of brands out there, although I wouldn’t have one I recommend personally. In my experience, the numbing seems to last up to 2 hours into the session and afterwards, the pain will come back if not worse than if you were to not use the cream at all. When used please apply about an hour before the appointment on clean skin, then wrap with clear plastic wrap (the same type you would use to wrap your food with). No need to fumble with taking it off in your car before you come in, I’ll take it off for you.

Also, understand that our bodies change over time and what may worked for us in the past may no longer work the same. I used to be an avid user of numbing cream for tattoos on my own body but can no longer use it due to harsh healing results. If you notice anything out of the ordinary after your appointment please reach out to me ONLY. Not every tattoo artist works the same, therefor different artists may have different healing instructions that best suit their tattooing methods.

I can not guarantee the tattoo will heal properly if you take the risk of using numbing cream.
