Interested in Pottery Classes?
It all begins with an idea. Add some motivation, dedication, and consistency anything is possible. Maybe, you want to have a new creative outlet or looking to strengthen your foundations and learn new wheel-throwing techniques.
ꕤ Monthly (4 week) Wheel Throwing Classes - Tuesdays 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm EST
A brand new 25 lb bag of white clay will be included in the class as well as bisque and glaze firings for pieces made within the class. Each class is 2.5 hours long totaling to 10 hours of instruction time. Open studio time to practice is available Thursday 10 am - 6pm and Saturday 10am - 4pm. Glaze is not included in the class but can be purchased during store hours. Keep in mind that only pieces made in class will be fired complimentary, any at-home projects will be subjected to a small firing fee. APS also offers classes throughout the week that are taught by our other lovely instructors including hand-building and sculpture classes.

Recycled clay will be included in the class, there are no limitations on attempts to make pieces as long as it is within the 2-hour time frame. Both the bisque and glaze kiln firings are included in the class. The 2-hour session will include wheel-throwing instruction only. Pieces made during the class will be left at the studio to properly dry and get bisque fired. After one week the bisque pieces will be ready to pick up and glazed. Glaze is not included but may be purchased on-site. Once the pieces are glazed we will also glaze fire the pieces to completion (food safe) which will also be ready to pick up in a week.
